BON VOYAGE! Summer season opening at O2 Restaurant
Summer in Moscow has long been synonymous with the traditional party on the capital's iconic terrace. On May 30, the long-awaited season was kicked off in style at the O2 restaurant on the roof of The Carlton, Moscow hotel.
The first summer party was truly dazzling and set the tone for the three hot months ahead in the capital. The evening was held in true French style: a playful resort atmosphere and a light breeze in the hair. The scents of Provençal herbs, lavender and azure accents, and a nautical-themed photo zone all created the atmosphere of a relaxed voyage along the French Riviera. Only the stunning view of Red Square reminded us that we were in the heart of summertime Moscow — perhaps the best city in the world.
The headliner of the evening was Lyusya Chebotina with hits that everyone sang along to, and her legendary track “Why Do I Need the Sun of Monaco?” once again drew ovations from the enthusiastic guests. DJ Alexei Mironov charged everyone with summer energy, mixing French house, disco, and modern hits, while host Konstantin Anisimov filled this wonderful evening with humor, putting everyone in a great mood.
The vivid culinary impressions were complemented by a unique ambiance: Ivan Markov, who recently took over as head chef of the restaurant, presented a themed menu featuring exquisite French cuisine with his own interpretation. The signature bars of the Big Russian Wine project (Simple Group) served wines from Russian regions, cocktails based on Hoppers Gin with natural botanicals (Lavender Fizz, French Peach) and Matusalem rum (Cote d'Azur).
Guests took photos not only against the backdrop of the heart of Moscow, but also in the FIORE BAGS pop-up zone, where they were accompanied by bellmen, turning each shot into a story of impeccable travel style and service.
